A long way home to find something new
a desire, a still heart and possibly something blue.
There goes the wind and the sails
Have we all forgotten what's in view?

The creature, two-fold, stands tall in the breeze
as something caresses the unease of the mind to ask,
"Have I not been accustomed to this task?"

Sunken yet brave, a new dawn appears
Rebuked but not forgotten the strength of many years.
A little too late though not far gone
The horizon is near, be not weak, be the mountains.

Simple

As simple as they are they go unnoticed
Unraveled by time, yet shamed by grace
Seemingly simple and delicate like flowers
Unwithered by space, unstoppable powers

Speak of the truth and to hear one say,
"Have not one grasp of the triumph today?"
Sold by virtues, inherited from blame
She goes out to seek another game.
